Risks
Swapping tokens can cost you money. Here is what can go wrong on Loupo, in plain words.

Meme tokens can drop to zero
Many meme tokens on Robinhood Chain are hours or days old. Their price can fall fast, and many end up worth nothing. A creator or a big holder can sell at any moment, and the pool can get so thin that you can’t sell near the price you saw.
Some tokens charge a creator tax on every trade. The swap window shows it before you sign.
Swap only what you can afford to lose.
Slippage and price impact
Slippage is the gap between the quote and what you get, because the price moves before your swap lands. Max slippage in settings caps it: if the price moves further, the swap fails instead of filling. A failed swap can still charge you the network cost.
A higher max slippage gets more swaps through, and it can also fill at a worse price.
Price impact is how much your own swap moves the price. In a small pool, even a modest swap can move it a lot. The swap window flags high price impact and asks you to confirm when it gets very high.
Smart contracts and bridges
Every token, pool, route and bridge is code. Code can have bugs, and whoever controls a contract may be able to pause or change it. A bug can mean lost funds. We don’t write or audit these contracts.
Some swaps ask your wallet to approve a token first. An approval lets a contract spend that token, so read what you approve.
A bridge moves funds between chains through LI.FI or Relay, in more than one step. A step can be slow or fail. If a bridge doesn’t finish, your funds come back by the route’s own rules, and the receipt links to the route status. That can take time.
Wrong network, wrong address
Transactions on a blockchain can’t be reversed. Send to a wrong address, or to the right address on the wrong network, and the funds are usually gone for good.
Lookalike tokens carry the same name or ticker as a real one. A ticker alone proves nothing, so check the contract before you sign.
Loupo never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is not Loupo.
Loupo’s score can be wrong
A score reads on-chain data at one moment. The data can be incomplete or late, and things can change right after you see a score: a big holder sells, or liquidity leaves the pool.
A high score promises nothing about the price. Loupo’s answers come from an AI model and can be wrong or out of date. Check for yourself before you sign.
Stock tokens
A stock token’s price moves with the market, both ways. Stock tokens are not available to U.S. persons and are restricted in Canada, the UK, Switzerland and other countries.
Things outside our control
- The network or a route can be slow or down.
- Network costs go up and down with demand.
- Crypto rules differ by country and can change.
- A wallet or device can be hacked or lost. Keep your seed phrase offline and to yourself.
This list isn’t complete. If you’re unsure, try a small amount first, or don’t swap.
